Plan your visit!

First of all, welcome to First Methodist of New Albany! Our desire is for your first visits to be positive ones, should you be looking for a place to worship and serve. The following are a few quick steps to make your visit a success.

Also, these are just suggestions – we’d love to see you, any time. Our staff is ready to hear from you at our contact page.

  • Get in touch

While you are certainly welcome to drop in, any time, a quick call or email to our contact page is a great way to connect with our staff for a heads up. We’ll be able to give you some introspective to our services and what to expect.

  • Take a tour!

Don’t just stop at a quick chat with our staff. We’re more than happy to show you around our facilities so you’ll be familiar with our building.

  • Stream us LIVE!

We know – visiting a new congregation and church can be intimidating. Did you know you can stream our services online? Click here to take a look, each Sunday or visit our archives to get an idea on things.

So, where do I enter when I visit?

Great question! There are 3 main entrances to our church.

Bankhead Street
The most common entry is the sanctuary entrance on West Bankhead street (up the stairs). Keep in mind, no elevators are available at that entrance.

Side Parking Entrance (Elevators)
Along the side of our sanctuary (Bankhead Street), you will see a row of trees leading to our side entrance. This is the most common entry to Sunday school, but also offers stair and elevator entry to our 2nd floor sanctuary.

Rear Entrance (Embrace)
Our rear entrance off of Highland street is commonly used for our Embrace contemporary service.

Are the facilities handicap accessible?

Absolutely! All entries except for our stair entry off of Bankhead are wheelchair accessible and lead to our elevator to allow for access to other floors.

Can I get assistance to and from my car?

Our ushers are more than happy to assist those in need to get to their vehicles. Feel free to call ahead, if you like, to arrange for someone to meet you before services.
